Our commitment to a more sustainable coffee.
At Chronic., we believe that great coffee shouldn’t come at the expense of the planet. That’s why we’re committed to making every cup more responsible—by working directly with dedicated producers, optimizing our environmental impact, and supporting a fairer economy.Transparency
We have nothing to hide. Every year, we conduct a full audit of our supply chain to ensure that every stakeholder, from producer to roaster, upholds our ethical and environmental commitments. We openly communicate about our suppliers and partners, showcasing their practices and dedication to sustainable production.
We also carry out a carbon footprint assessment—because you can only improve what you measure. This approach allows us to identify concrete actions and collaborate with suppliers to reduce our environmental footprint, all while ensuring exceptional coffee.

B Corp
Being B Corp isn’t just about having a nice certification to display—it’s proof that our commitment is real. This certification is based on strict criteria evaluating our environmental impact, working conditions, and sustainable business model.
It’s also about transparency: our actions are measured, verified, and benchmarked against global best practices. And since there’s always room for improvement, this certification pushes us to constantly do better, ensuring that every cup of coffee makes a positive impact—on the planet, on producers, and on you.

Organic & Fairtrade
Every single one of our coffees is certified organic and Fairtrade—no exceptions. We don’t compromise: if a coffee isn’t Bio & Fairtrade, it simply doesn’t make it into our range.
This strict requirement guarantees transparency. It ensures that our coffees are grown without pesticides or GMOs, in harmony with the soil and biodiversity. It also ensures that producers are fairly paid, work in decent conditions, and can invest in sustainable farming practices.
Exclusively working with Bio & Fairtrade coffee means choosing a supply chain that is cleaner, more ethical, and fully traceable—because a great coffee starts with responsible production.
Climate
Reducing our impact is good. Rethinking it entirely is better.
We don’t just offset our emissions—we take direct action to minimize our carbon footprint. Our roasting is done using a Loring, one of the most efficient machines on the market in terms of CO₂ reduction, cutting energy consumption while optimizing the roasting process.
All the electricity we use is 100% renewable, because we know that coffee inherently has an impact—and our role is to reduce it as much as possible.
Our goal? Achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and ensure that every Chronic. cup stays below 20g of CO₂e. Because a truly sustainable coffee is one that’s always looking to improve.

1% for the Planet
Giving back is great. But giving to causes that matter is even better.
We don’t just offset our carbon footprint—1% of our revenue is donated to environmental and humanitarian organizations that make a real difference.
In Switzerland, we support WWF Switzerland, particularly in their Alpine conservation projects, protecting a fragile ecosystem where every action counts. We also work with Terre des Hommes Suisse, which defends children’s rights and supports communities living in precarious conditions.
Drinking Chronic. coffee means contributing to projects that protect both the planet and the people who live on it. Because a good coffee is also about commitment.

The best waste is the one that isn’t produced.
We have one simple rule: no capsules.
Why? Because generating waste with every single cup is absurd. Because coffee sealed under pressure in aluminum loses its soul, becoming industrial and sterile. And because drinking great coffee should never mean producing tons of waste.
That’s why we champion whole bean coffee, prepared your way, with no compromise on quality or ecological impact. And to take it a step further, our packaging is 100% compostable in industrial composting and OK COMPOST certified.
This is just the beginning—we’re already working on even more sustainable solutions for the future.
Inclusion & Equity
Coffee is about connection and sharing. Inclusion and equity aren’t just words; they’re part of our daily commitment.
We strive to create a space where everyone is respected and valued, from the producers to the coffee drinkers. This means supporting producer cooperatives and partnering with Swiss foundations that promote the integration of people with disabilities and those re-entering the workforce.

Supporting Cooperatives
We have chosen Fairtrade-certified coffees to ensure producers receive a stable minimum price, fair working conditions, and access to development programs.
Behind every bean, there are families, communities, and expertise that deserve recognition and respect. Fairtrade enforces strict guidelines and annual audits to guarantee fair wages and total transparency at every stage.

Fondation pro
Access to employment for all is essential.
That’s why we collaborate with Fondation PRO, which supports both people with disabilities and those re-entering the workforce. Through tailored training and mentoring, workers regain their place in the workforce and a profession that values their skills.
A truly committed coffee also supports inclusion and a fairer economy.
