Almaz Teklu is an independent producer from Gedeb, working as a single farmer, which ensures complete traceability and a unique identity for this lot. Unlike lots from collective washing stations, this coffee comes exclusively from her farm, reflecting her work, farming practices, and vision of quality.

Her focus on selective harvesting, cherry ripeness, and precision in washing allows for achieving Grade 1, the highest Ethiopian standard.

Origin

Gedeb, in the south of the Yirgacheffe region, is one of Ethiopia's most renowned terroirs. At high altitudes, on rich and fertile soils, coffee trees mature slowly, developing aromatic profiles of great complexity.

The fully washed process enhances this identity, highlighting clarity, precision, and aromatic brilliance. One often finds delicate floral notes, vibrant citrus, sometimes a hint of black tea or stone fruit, with a silky texture and a clean finish.
